Technical High School, or "Tech" as it was called, was one of a number of vocational high schools built in the early 20th century. This building opened in 1915; it operated its vocational program until 1954, after which the building served as a junior high school and, in 1976, as The Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts.
