The View Up Main Street: 1967 and 2002 (Part II)

View of the block on Main Street, looking north toward the Seneca Street intersection.
The original Marine Trust building, called here the Marine Midland Bank building,
is the tall building at the right corner.
Across the street is the Bank of Buffalo Building.
See the photo below of the same view today.

The same view in 2002. Note that the Marine Trust Building still stands, but
the parking ramp was demolished to
make a plaza for the HSBC building. The Bank of Buffalo building and the Chamber
of Commerce Building which
bounded it on two sides, were demolished to make way for a surface parking lot
and a smaller office building.
See the old postcard of that corner here.
